THE INNOVATION HUB APPOINTS KOMATHIE GOVENDER AS CFO
03 February 2025 Tshwane – The Innovation Hub, the innovation agency of the Gauteng Province and an agency of the Gauteng Growth and Development Agency strategically tasked with driving innovation and entrepreneurship, is pleased to announce the appointment of Komathie Govender as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Effective 03 February 2025, Govender succeeds Ms. Beverly Mmamedupi Nkwana, who stepped down as the acting CFO to pursue career endeavors.
A highly skilled Chartered Accountant, Govender has over 15 years’ experience in executive management roles with a 10-year clean audit track record. Recently, she served in various Boards and Committees, namely the Gauteng Film Commission’s Board and audit committee and the IRBA Investigating Committee. Govender’s extensive experience has placed her in key leadership roles where she served as Chief Financial Officer in organizations such as the Gauteng Partnership Fund, SENTECH, Onderstepoort Biological Products, and the Auditor-General of South Africa. She excelled in strategic leadership, strategic business and planning, financial and supply chain management, policy formulation, budget management, and change management, making her the ideal appointment for The Innovation Hub’s (TIH) commitment to building a stable and progressive entity in delivering on its mandate as the key driver of innovation and entrepreneurship in Gauteng.
